“Physical objects are not in space, but these objects are spatially extended (as fields). In this way the concept ’empty space’ loses its meaning.” – Albert Einstein
“Cymatics image by Journey to Curiosity”
Since I tend to output what I input, I noticed Nassim used a Cymatics image this morning to accent an Einstein quote about physical objects being fields (of energy).
And because I’m all about trying to explain ENERGY as I know it, not necessarily as physicists do, I can often only grasp bits and pieces of their explanations for such concepts as Matter, Mass, Time, Space, Velocity, and Energy, etc.; but I know that the Theoretical Science community is still attempting to explain the world that we know and even to explain other dimensions accessible from our world, so no one presently has the definitive answer to what makes us and every other aspect of LIFE (as well as non-LIFE) what it appears to be.
They can only speculate on them based on what they can perceive about our world and what they can deduce from those perceptions.
But perceptions are limited; especially the five-sense perceptions of humans, so as greater experience–sensing devices are created to test that which is humanly imperceptible, not surprisingly the scientific theories about our world expand as well.
The thought just came to me that if you were a semi-intelligent fish swimming around in a vast ocean of water—just doing your FISH-thing of looking for food and trying NOT to be eaten by larger fish—you might not have a concept for WATER other than that it was all around you, and you moved through it as fish do, as did the other possible food/predators move through it, without the thought of WATER ‘existing’ in and of itself.
WATER was simply the medium through which you, as a FISH, operated. You existed only because IT existed, and yet you may have little if any understanding, of what WATER actually was or what it really meant to you existentially.
As that semi-intelligent FISH, you may not even realize that without WATER, there would be NO you.
So to my limited mind, I can grasp the concept that we exist in an ocean of ‘unseen’ fields of energy, and that we are like tiny minnows swimming through it, obliviously doing our own things.
As minnows, we are IN the WATER. We are birthed FROM the WATER. And in many respects we are aspects of WATER itself, as the cells of our bodies are primarily hydrated by water. But that doesn’t mean that we understand our connection TO the WATER any better than the other minnows do.
Unless of course, we are SELF-REALIZED minnows; and then we simply think that we are the OCEAN exploring itself. HA!
And who knows? Maybe we are.
